just one of those worries
my dad was diagnosed with glaucoma last year. its a disease that is an accumulation of pressure in your eye. its that little thing that your doctor uses when you see that blue light and uses this instrument thats gets really close to your eye. a normal eye pressure is from 8-14. and my dad was diagnosed with a pressure of around 25. meaning there was already damage in his eye. because the medication hes taking for his eyes isnt working even though its already at its highest dose and highest medication, it isnt lowering his pressure--the next step would be to do surgery to release the pressure in his eye and reduce anything from getting worse. theres a 20% chance that things could go wrong and my dad can end up getting infection, internal bleeding, or just getting blind. i know its one of those things that you shouldnt be upset about, but its just a little scary. and i can tell hes scared too.
