i have 10 minutes before 8am to get to my med/surg class and take my test. its 7:55am and I'm probably less than .25 of a mile so i wasnt too worried... until driving down hesperian and my car stalls. so i think to myself, oh, since i was driving pretty slow I must have just missed the clutch when changing gears. so i start my car.. and nothing. and i try again. and then nothing. so im sitting in the middle of hesperian with my emergency lights and its 8:00am. fuck.... im late for my med/surg class. missing the test. and im by myself so i cant push the car out of the road. so im sitting in my car frantically trying to figure out what to do. when youre so nervous that youre sweating and your shaking..not just that my car wouldnt start, but just that i was gonna miss my test! i call my dad hes already on his way to work so he tells me to call keith. whos luckily was just knocked out at my house. but before he came, a dad and his son helped me push my car out of the road and into a parking lot so that i wouldnt get into an accident or cause anymore traffic (since there was nonstop honking). but i just said to myself, thank god there are still good people in the world.
that went out of their way to help me push my car out of the road when they had their own busy life to attend to. keith came 5 minutes later and took me to school, in which i was able to take my test thank god. and surpisingly scored an 84, while my heart was still beating fast and my blood pressure was extremely high because i was so stressed to make it to school.
i thought to myself before anything happened. oh, its been a while since anything has happened to me lately, since last month when i left my debit card in the ATM and locked my keys in my car. but i spoke too soon. i always seem to. haha.
i asked keith, "thanksss.. and sorry, im always so much trouble."
he said, "its okay, i dont get mad because i already anticipate it." (like he knos its coming)
sigh.. sad. just sad.
just adding to that, i told my teacher that my car broke down and i apologized for being late. and my med/surg teacher said, "don't be tardy anymore, you were more than 10 minutes late. next time leave youre house earlier."
guess you have to keep those things in mind? that youre car might break down? hmmm..
